WITW International Motorcycle Rights Officer
Pauline Forrest

My name is Pauline Forrest and I’m the WITW International Motorcycle Rights Officer.

I started my Motorcycle Rights career in 1977 when I obtained my first motorcycle
license (in Milwaukee) and my cousin said that since I rode, I needed to support
motorcycle rights. I joined AMA then and now continue my AMA membership (and
roadside assistance) that provides information and action on state and federal MC
issues. I feel better when I know I have someone standing by my side regarding my
motorcycle freedoms.

In 2018 I joined the Motorcycle Rights Foundation (MRF) and in 2023 I rode to DC to lobby our federal legislators about motorcycle rights. I’ve attended multi-state Motorcycle Rights meetings too. Very exciting, but I’m finding that a lot of women in the SMRO’s do not ride. That is the difference with WITW. We RIDE!

I have two goals as the WITW Motorcycle Rights Officer:
1) Provide AWARENESS to WITW members to know about: SMRO’s, How to lobby your legislators, What is the MRF? What is ABATE?
2) ACTION – Inspire WITW members to step up to participate in their motorcycle rights individually or in organizations to keep riding FREE.

WITW has strengthened my initiative to get women riding and keep them riding safely. There is more that we as women, as WITW, as motorcyclists can do: Support events, participate in lobbying, contact your legislators and become involved with motorcycle rights organizations.
